Triumph Spitfire Mk3 - Alfa Romeo Rosso Red

My current car - currently "in-progress" as it's off the road. So the spec is "to be" - have all the bits, just a case of putting it all together. Owned since May 2003.

1.3 GE engine - fully balanced with Vanderwell VP2 bearings. Duplex vernier timing chain. TT Fast Road 89 290 duration camshaft. Ported head with 1.5" valves and bronze guides. Bell 4-2-1 tubular manifold. Twin Dellorto DHLA40's, Magard linkage, Silver top Facet pump and Filter King regulator. MegaJolt Lite Junior distributorless mapped ignition system.
GT6 front vertical links and alloy hubs, HiSpec Ultralite 4-pot alloy calipers, AVO shocks and 480lb springs. Superflex bushes all round.
Rotoflex style rear suspension with CV joints and rod-end adjustable trailing arms. Adjustable wishbone mounts (adjustable length wishbones to come later). AVO Shocks. 3.89 differential.

 

Triumph Spitfire 1500 - Pimento Red

My first Spitfire - sadly written off when someone went in to the back of it. Owned from Sept 2001 until April 2003.

1.5 litre engine - standard HS4 carbs on K&N's with AAQ needles. Bell tubular manifold.
Standard front suspension with Spax shocks and mildly uprated springs.
